Series: The One-Another WayLESSON #6 – PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER
A CHURCH EVER PRAYING
~ The New Testament is filled will exhortations to pray.
Honor, praise and thanksgivings to God remain the primary focus of our prayers, and this is as it should be.
Acts 1:14 notes, These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer...
Acts 2:42 adds, They were continually devoting themselves...to prayer.
~ This is also a place for personal prayers - - “Lord, help me!”.
But we also see, carved out in Scripture, an emphasis on the need to pray for one-another.
Acts 12:5 / So Peter was kept in prison, but prayer for him was being made fervently by the church to God.
How often do you pray for others?
Does this occur once in a blue moon or is it a regular part of our prayer life?
If we kept a record of the people you prayed for by name, how many would it be in a typical week?
Do we just pray for the sick and grieving?
} Can you site an example of a prayer with specificity made on behalf of another? |?
