LESSON #24 – THE LUNACY OF GENDER NEUTRALITY

INTRODUCTION

This topic must be filed under the who-would-have-thunk-it? category.  This bizarre trend, which is actually

gaining traction in some fringe circles, centers on the idea of attempting to raise gender-neutral children. 

This social engineering experiment focuses on the first half-decade in the life of a child.  Typically, by the

start of schooling a child will have a “coming out” party to celebrate their choice.  In the meantime

children need to be given lots of latitude to make up their own minds about their gender choice.

Is this not some of the strangest psycho babble you’ve ever heard?

THEYBIES

“A new trend in parenting is to allow children to self-determine their gender when they are young and not

in any way identify them as either boys or girls, what some are calling ‘theybies’." / Brandon Showalter

NBC recounted recently in a report, “Raising Theybies:  Kids Who Decide Their Gender,” the story of Julie and Nate Sharpe.

The Sharpes opted to raise their twin children, Zyler and Kadyn, using “they, them, their" pronouns so they can decide for

Themselves if, when and how they want to identify as a gender.  The Sharpes did not disclose the biological sex of their

children in the report and say they intend to tell their kids when they grow older that gender is “fluid” and that not

everyone with a penis is a boy as some persons with male sex organs identify as female.  The family is reportedly a

part of a small Facebook community of like-minded parents who are raising their children in a similar manner.

Dr. Meg Meeker writes:  As a pediatrician, I know that gender dysphoria is a serious issue; but it is an issue that affects only 0.2

percent of Americans, and it is madness to try to increase that number by encouraging healthy, normal boys and girls to endlessly

question whether they are actually boys or girls or even “its” - - to sow confusion where there is -- and should be – no confusion.

AN ASSAULT ON GOD'S CREATION

Do you ever feel like you're living in a world that has been turned upside down?

In the beginning God created human beings - - male and female (Gen.1:27).

Isn't it arrogant to think we can “engineer” things better that our Creator?

Peter Sprigg, Senior Fellow for Policy Studies at the Family Research Council, writes: 

“A person cannot choose whether they are male or female, that is something that is intrinsic in the body at birth."

THE FRUIT OF RELATIVISM

The Old Testament book of Judges  closes by noting (Judg.21:25) - -

In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.

Rom.1:21 / for even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God, or give thanks;

but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
