THINGS LEARNED WHILE TRAVELING

Improvising can be a marvelous thing.  Have you ever made plans on “the fly” and it turned out to be quite serendipitous?

Turnpikes are boring.  Life’s too short to not travel some scenic byways.  If you go to “the Falls" take Rt. 5 and enjoy the journey.

Young people are capable of being stretched -- just ask Albert and George about the high ropes and zip lines near the whirlpool.

Patience is a much-needed virtue, especially when you are traveling in a car with three adults, two teen brothers and a dog.

Being with family is a very special thing.  How sad to be family and not truly savor the joy of being with one another.

Not everybody is greedy.  Our old reservation monies were fully refunded and our new ones (Old Stone Inn) gave us a discount.

Sharing a meal is a good thing.  A little bit of this and a little bit of that -- just ask Betina.

Natural beauties surpass man-made entertainments:  a beautiful, God-given sunset tops the “Clifton Hill” lights every time.

Sometimes fast food is not so fast.  Have you ever spent a forty minutes at a McDonalds waiting for a to-go order?
